Al-Shabab, Africa’s deadliest Islamic extremist group, quickly claimed responsibility for Saturday’s attack and said its fighters were inside the hotel. Witnesses in some previous attacks have said al-Shabab fighters disguised themselves by wearing military uniforms. AP
