“I like unconventional spaces,” Gupta told The Hindu of his decision to go with Famous Studio as the venue for his show. “Space is always a challenge, but for me and the nature of my work, this kind of space suits me.” Image: Firstpost

Gupta said to Hindustan Times of the paintings that are part of the show: “The image is drawn from the various marks and lines that can be found on a used pan. Like the lines on one’s palm, the marks on each pan are distinct, telling you stories of what was made in it, with what emotion and how people lived in that world of theirs.”
