In Darjeeling, people took part in the funeral procession of two persons, who the pro-Gorkhaland protesters claimed had died in the Saturday’s police firing.

Fearing public backlash, the authorities had deployed army on the ground ahead of the organised marches and funeral processions of those killed during the protests. There have been no reports of violence since Sunday. However, vigil has been increased outside all police stations, camps and outposts to prevent attacks by pro-Gorkhaland supporters, officials said.  PTI

The GJM had claimed that two youths were killed in police firing on Saturday. However, the police had said they did not have any reportof firing. PTI
