Raisina Hills gets new look: Dynamic facade lighting offers visual treat to visitors

The iconic North and South Block building flanking the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi got a new dynamic lighting system on Wednesday which can display a wide range of themes. PTI
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Cabinet ministers attended the inauguration of new dynamic lighting of North and South blocks which has the potential to present an amazing 16 million colour combinations. PTI
This lighting will cover an area of 21,450 square metres and be operational from 7 pm to 5 am every day. While the colours will change every few seconds, the full-capacity lighting will be operational between 8 pm and 9 pm. PTI
The new light fittings will be free from dust, vermin and moisture with the outdoor weather protection of the highest order (IP-66) with robust design. It will also be equipped with dimming feature to reduce the electrical load. PTI
