Gandhi visited Banaskantha district’s Dhanera village, which is worst affected by the floods. Over 270 persons are estimated to have died and 4.5 lakh people affected by the floods in the state. Twitter @INCGujarat

Gandhi also interacted with the party workers about the ongoing relief work being carried out by the party in the region. He was accompanied by party’s Rajya Sabha nominee Ahmed Patel, state president Bharatsinh Solanki and party in-charge for Gujarat Ashok Gehlot. PTI

In Dhanera, he was heckled and shown black flags by people shouting pro-Narendra Modi slogans forcing him to cut short his address at a gathering and leave in a huff. PTI

Gandhi’s car was also pelted with stones breaking its rear glass but he espaced unhurt. Gandhi also alleged that several cars in his convoy was damaged, their window panes smashed and an SPG man suffered minor injury. PTI

Holding BJP responsible for the incident, Gandhi said that, “Won’t step back because of black flags, Narendra Modi slogans or stones”. PTI
