Banerjee, who has been meeting leaders of various Opposition parties and some allies of the ruling BJP in Delhi held a brief discussion with the trio. She had met with several MPs, including those from the NCP, Shiv Sena and TRS earlier in the day. PTI

After the meeting, Shourie, who has been critical of the Modi government, said the Trinamool Congress chief's theory of putting up a one-on-one fight against the BJP in every state was the right path to take on Modi.<br />PTI

BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha said Banerjee was a mass leader connected to the grassroots. "We are with her in her struggle for the country. Nation is bigger than the party. All this work is not anti-party but pro-nation. We have come to give her support for the sake of the country," he said. PTI
