He even officially addressed the Indian diaspora, thanking the people for taking the time to meet him.  During his address, PM Modi even hailed the Russia-India ties calling Moscow an ‘India’s all-weather friend and a trusted ally’. Later in the day, Modi, Prime Minister Modi made his way to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s official residence at Novo-Ogaryovo for a ‘private engagement’ where the two leaders drank tea on a terrace.  PM Modi told Putin it was a ‘moment of joy’ to visit and thanked him for planning ’that we chit-chat here this evening’, reported NDTV. Putin even took PM Modi on a golf cart ride at his residence as both leaders talked through the drive. The Russian President congratulated Modi for his third term as prime minister, stating that ’this is not an accident, but the result of your work over many years’. ‘You have your own ideas. You are a very energetic person, able to achieve results in the interests of India and the Indian people,’ Putin was quoted as saying by the Tass news agency. Reuters
