At least 39 people were killed and more than 150 wounded in a deadly 26/11 style assault on a Nairobi top Mall by Islamist terror group al Shabab. Witnesses said at least five gunmen — including at least one woman — first attacked an outdoor cafe at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall, a shiny, new shopping center that includes Nike, Adidas and Bose stores. The attack began shortly after noon with bursts of gunfire and grenades. At least two Indians are among the dead, with another six injured. These are photographs of the rescue efforts and of the carnage wrought inside the mall by the attackers.
