Parliamentarians across party line gave outgoing Vice-President Hamid Ansari a grand farewell at GMC Balayogi Auditorium at Parliament in New Delhi on Thursday.

Ansari will be succeeded by M Venkaiah Naidu, who will take oath as Country’s 13th vice-president on Friday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Polling 516 votes, Naidu defeated Opposition candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi who got 244 votes. PTI
