Later, Modi addressed the nation, speaking on varied issues, ranging from farmers’ issues, GST, demonetisation, terrorism and triple talaq. He also hailed his government for several breakthrough measures. Twitter @PIB_India

During the course of his speech, Modi said that India should create a New India by 2022, the year when it celebrates 75th year of Independence. PTI

Modi also remembered the victims of Gorakhpur hospital tragedy that had killed over 70 children. “In the last few days, some of our innocent children died in a hospital. All the countrymen stand together at this time,” he said. PTI
