On Tuesday, security forces continued to be engaged in an encounter with militants, for the third day in Poonch, Kashmir. A Bullet riddled Haji Nazir Mir building can be seen where terrorists were hiding during the 2nd day of encounter at Allah Pir area in Poonch on Monday. PTI
DGP Rajendra Kumar visited Poonch"area to review the situation. He said, "Militants infiltrating a day before Eid is clearly pointing towards the fact they had come here to disturb peace on Eid." PTI
The encounter started at around 7.30 am on Sunday with militants firing at a police party, killing one policeman. Then they took shelter in a house in Alla Pir area and the under construction Mini Secretariat building. PTI

The DGP said that there might be a group of 4 to 6 militants involved in this incident. "We feel one or two militants are still alive." he said while talking to the reporters in Poonch. PTI
A senior army personal said that the operation is still on for the third day. The building has two floors and several rooms and terrorists are taking benefit of it by firing from different areas. PTI
