India celebrated the Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26 July to commemorate India’s victory against Pakistan in the Kargil War.

Navy personnel also attended a function held at Amar Jawan Jyoti in India Gate in New Delhi. PTI

Defence minister Arun Jaitley along with Army Chief General Bipin Singh Rawat, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa and Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba paid homage to the slain soldiers at the function. PTI
