India's premier bowler Ravichandran Ashwin accounted for both the Sri Lankan openers – Upul Tharanga and Dimuth Karunaratane –in the final session of play on Day 2 as Sri Lanka ended the day on 50/2. AP
Hosts began the Day 2 with part time medium-pace bowler Dimuth Karunaratne who bagged his maiden Test match wicket when he trapped Cheteshwar Pujara leg before wicket in the second over of the day. Pujara could add only 5 runs to his overnight 128.AP
