After couple of early wickets on Day 3, it was Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal alongwith Angelo Mathews formed a rearguard of sorts to halt the slide and guide the hosts to lunch without any further loss.
Angelo Mathews attempted the sweep to a full ball by R Ashwin and was given out by the on field umpire, despite Mathews' review the decision stood. He fell after scoring 35. AP
