Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally at Banswara in Rajasthan on Wednesday and lashed out at the BJP government at the Centre for not paying attention to the plight of farmers across the country. PTI
The Kisan Aakrosh rally was part of Rahul's visit to all the states that are slated to go to polls next year. State Congress chief Sachin Pilot, CP Joshi, Mohan Prakash, Girija Vyas, Mahendrajeet Singh Malvia and others also addressed the rally. PTI
Rahul also criticised the faulty implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) supporting the ongoing protest against the tax in New Delhi. PTI
He also met the small traders and family members of the farmers who committed suicide due to debts. PTI
The Congress vice president said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about 'Make in India', he ignores farmers. PTI
Gandhi said his party stands with the tillers and would put pressure on the Vasundhara Raje-led government in Rajasthan to waive farm loans. PTI
