In Mumbai, a tree fell on a taxi near St Xavier’s College on Tuesday due to heavy rains lashing the city. In a similar incident last week, a security guard was injured when a tree branch fell on him near the Income tax office at Churchgate following which he was rushed to a civic hospital.PTI

Incessant rains pummelled the city and other parts of district on the third consecutive day, triggering flood in Godavari river which has crossed the danger mark in the Nashik and adjoining areas.
