According to media reports, the oxygen supply at BRD medical college was allegedly stopped after the suppliers’ bill of Rs 67 lakh was not cleared. The chief minister said they are waiting for a report of the probe committee set up by the government. PTI

The Indian Express reported that Gorakhpur has seen at least 114 deaths due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in 2017. On Saturday, Youth Congress workers also took out a candle-light march to commemorate the incident on Saturday. PTI

In Bhopal, children paid homage to those infants who lost their lives in the tragedy. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath sought the Centre’s help to set up a virus research centre in the eastern part of the state to fight vector borne diseases like encephalitis, which claim several lives each year.
