In order to celebrate the late filmmaker Kundan Shah's cinema, his Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro collaborators Ranjit Kapur, Satish Kaushik, Sudhir Mishra and Vidhu Vinod Chopra congregated for an interactive session at the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival

Satish Kaushik also recalled the late actor Om Puri, who was an integral part of the classic. "Om Puri heard the narration as he was good friends with Naseeruddin Shah. Later, when he shot the Mahabharata scene, that’s when he came up to me and said that he just realized it’s a great script," he recalled.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “Kundan was never satisfied. It used to take sometimes 72 hours of shoot straight without sleeping. We used to shoot and sleep in between takes.”

Kundan Shah's classic 1983 social satire was also screened at the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival
