After the results were declared Congress President Sonia Gandhi visited the campus with NSUI's winning candidates Rocky Tusseed (President) and Kunal Sehrawat (vice president) to thank the students for voting at the DUSU 2017 elections in New Delhi. PTI

The NSUI was earlier on cloud nine when it thought it had bagged three seats including the president, vice-president and the joint secretary. But it was later announced that the joint secretary post had been won by ABVP.
