The Delhi unit of the Congress on Tuesday held a massive demonstration in capital against the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) with a turnout of nearly 1000 people. PTI
During the protest, the Delhi Congress workers hit out against the BJP government over its version of the GST, which had been proposed by the erstwhile Congress-led government. PTI
Shouting slogans and carrying placards against the government, the Congress workers marched from Jantar Mantar towards Parliament, but were stopped halfway by police barricades. PTI
Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken leading the protest said that, the government has implemented the GST to help its rich and industrialist friends. He also added that the party workers would go to every nook and corner to protest current GST form. PTI
Congress said that its every worker had taken the pledge that they would not rest till they end the monster-like GST unleashed on the people. PTI
