Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said heterogeneous societies are the new reality and the biggest challenge is to understand how differences can become a source of strength — “something that India and Canada have done fairly well” and “can do better”

On the trade front, Trudeau said that bilateral trade of $8 billion in goods and $2 billion in services had a potential to grow. “When you think of natural connections between India and Canada, especially in the field of agriculture or pulses, where we have slight challenges.
