Several female students were injured when the police allegedly used force to remove protesters from outside the vice-chancellor’s residence. The students claimed that the police lathicharged them and pulled them by the hair. PTI

Police and paramilitary personnel were deployed to control the protests which erupted against the administration’s alleged victim-shaming after one of them reported an incident of molestation on Thursday. Yogi Adityanath ordered an inquiry into the violence on Saturday night. PTI
