As 10-day Ganesh festival draws to a close, idols are immersed into the sea, amid chaos and colour

Visarjan marked the end of the 12-day long Ganeshotsav in Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra on Tuesday.

On 5 September 2017, the 10-day-long Ganesh Chaturthi festival came to an end with the immersion of idols in the sea, called ‘visarjan’.
