Youth in Thane held for raping four-year-old girl

Thane: A youth has been arrested on the charges of raping a four-year-old girl from a slum colony here, police said today. [caption id=“attachment_757093” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] AP[/caption] Rahul Chowdhary, a resident of Nalla Sopara area, and the victim were neighbours, they said. On Saturday evening, when the girl was playing with her friends in front of her colony, the 20-year-old accused lured her under the pretext of giving a chocolate, Mukund Maharajan, Inspector of the Nalla Sopara Police Station, said. Chowdhary took her to an isolated place and raped her, he said. The youth was arrested and booked under IPC Section 375 (rape) after the victim’s parents lodged a police complaint. PTI
