The Borivali police on Wednesday arrested television actor Sai Ballal for harassing a 58-year-old television actress after she accused him of sending her lewd messages, including pornographic clips, reported

Actor Sai Ballal. Screengrab[/caption] The accused portrays Kamalnarayan Rajvanshi in Udaan, a soap about bonded labour in an Indian village which is produced by Mahesh Bhatt. In her complaint on Wednesday, the actress said that Ballal had first harassed her in April. Ballal started sending her pornographic and objectionable videos on her mobile phone through WhatsApp and started harassing her on the sets. He made sexual advances towards her and also molested her several times. Fed up, the victim approached her superiors in the production house. She alleged that they did not pay heed to her complaint and when she persisted with her complaints, they removed her from the show," an officer from the Borivali police station told Mumbai Mirror
. The actress also alleged that she was removed from the show because the accused had an influence over the makers. She had also approached the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) which only concluded that it was a criminal matter. Ballal has been booked under Section 354-A (sexual harassment) and 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe her) of the IPC and section 67-A of the IT Act.
