An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide over failing to get admission in an engineering course, police said on Saturday.

Thane: An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide over failing to get admission in an engineering course, police said on Saturday. Image courtesy- PTI[/caption] Aditi Bhosle, daughter of a police officer, was disturbed for some time because she could not get admission in an engineering  course. She jumped from the ninth floor of her building in the wee hours of Friday, an official at Kasarwadawali police station said. According to police sources, the girl’s father got up at night and found that the girl was not in her bed. Later, he is said to have found her lying on a car in the housing complex.He rushed her to a hospital where she was declared brought dead. The police recovered a suicide note from the deceased’s bag. A case of accidental death has been registered and further investigations are on. PTI
