Maharashtra’s Additional Director General of Police RK Sahay who had set himself ablaze at his home on 14 September passed nearly 20 days after the suicide attempt, according to news reports from CNN-IBN. An Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1986 batch, Sahay was rushed to the Bombay Hospital with 60 percent burn injuries soon after the incident.
