Firstpost blogger receives award for commentary on South Asia

Firstpost blogger Dilip D’ Souza received the Newsweek & The Daily Beast–Open Hands prize for his commentary on the socio- political and cultural issues of South Asia at a ceremony in New York. [caption id=“attachment_352819” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Courtesy: Wikipedia”] [/caption] D’Souza,  a Mumbai-based freelance writer has written several articles for Firstpost  and has also received bylines in publications such as The Times Of India, Tehelka, The Glasgow Herald,The Washington Post and Salon.com. He  also writes a fortnightly column A Matter of Numbers for livemint.com. A computer engineer by qualification, he has three books to his credit. His most recent published book is Roadrunner: An Indian Quest in America.
