Firstpost blogger Dilip D’ Souza received the Newsweek & The Daily Beast–Open Hands prize for his commentary on the socio- political and cultural issues of South Asia at a ceremony in New York. He also writes a fortnightly column A Matter of Numbers for livemint.com. A computer engineer by qualification, he has three books to his credit. His most recent published book is Roadrunner: An Indian Quest in America.
