How do you make people pay attention to the news? By using Kim Kardashian's world famous butt of course!
The Big Ass News website that launched just over 3 days ago is plastering news headlines from all over the world like "Inside Mosul: What's life inside the Islamic State" and "The Girl who's rape changed the country" on Kim's derriere in a bid to make people click. The pictures click through to stories hosted by actual news agencies, like The New York Times or CNN.
The website was created by Jennifer Garcia and Carl Larsson, according to Newsweek magazine, as a “cultural wake-up call and an immensely accurate grasp of the attention span of America.”
“The idea is simple: Kim Kardashian’s ass gets more attention than important world issues...So we wanted to use that ‘huge platform’ that Kim Kardashian has in the media to spread awareness for news we should pay attention to as a global community,” Larsson said.
Users can scroll through the images of Kim until they find a story that takes their fancy and click on the headline to read the full article on the original website.
