Watch: Woman from Indian TV show tells you how not to handle a laptop

Our good ol’ Indian TV soaps never, ever fail to disappoint when it comes to downright stupidity. And we’re talking about the level of stupidity which only few people (like Kamaal R Khan) can reach. [caption id=“attachment_2579034” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Screenshot from video shared by Zura’s Page on Facebook Screenshot from video shared by Zura’s Page on Facebook[/caption] If you thought you had seen probably every ridiculous act ever done on an Indian TV show, a video showing a woman’s weird perspective towards a laptop will prove you wrong. And trust us, the word ‘weird’ is a huge under-statement. In the video shared on Facebook, which is now going viral, a woman is seen cleaning a laptop. When we say ‘cleaning’, we mean she uses detergent and water to wash the laptop, exactly like the way she would wash clothes. Or utensils. One can’t help but think that the video might have been a brilliant one if it had actually been a spoof. But the presence of cheesy dramatic music in the background, the sanskaari expression of the bahu cleaning the laptop and the bewildered look of the husband when he sees the laptop left hanging from a rope so that it dries up make it very obvious that the show was actually trying to portray a serious and dramatic scene. Because, of course, what more can you expect from Indian television soaps than to show you the woes of a family dealing with a bahu whose sanskaar tells her that being a good wife means literally washing her husband’s laptop? And we’re not even going to talk about the blatant sexism in the video. That’s for you to see, and be amazed by:
