Watch: AIB wants you to save the internet in the next 24 hours

Remember the big uproar over net neutrality earlier this year and the All India Backchod (AIB) explainer video urging people to send government an email to maintain it? One million people ended up sending those emails, but ever wondered what happened to them? [caption id=“attachment_2100993” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![File Photo of the AIB crew. Photo: Facebook[/caption] Well, the AIB is back with a follow-up video with some answers, and not very encouraging ones. According to the AIB video, the government is still contemplating which way to rule as telecom companies and social media websites like Facebook push for a model which would restrict free access to the internet, and this time, messaging services like WhatsApp are also in the loop. And to make the already complicated things worse, the video informs that the procedure to get in touch with the government just got a bit more tedious. Sending an email is just not enough any more. Users will have to register on MyGov.in and leave a comment. And now for the most important part: the website will only accept comments till 15 August. If ruled against net neutrality, the decision might just change the way we understand and access the internet right now, as explained by the boys in the video below:
