The Microsoft vs Apple tablet battle may never really have existed in the real world given their sales figures are poles apart, but the Bill Gates-founded company may have these four friends to thank if their Surface tablet sales even see a little growth. Here’s why.

A screenshot of the parody video.

NelkFilmz, comprising four friends who make fun videos, decided to walk into Apple stores in the United States and pose as salesman, going about asking customers if they needed any help with their Apple products. Sounds good, right? Who really would complain of extra hands working for the world’s second largest tech company for free.

But here’s what is different. The four pranksters, wearing similar Apple store t-shirts, approach potential customers and diss yes, DISS Apple seeking to convince them that buying the iPad Air, or the iPhone 6 Plus was a bad, bad choice. “Why not try Microsoft… there’s a store right here. In this mall… I mean Apple? Really?” one of the pranksters tells a bewildered customer while being filmed by a hidden cam.

When finally apprehended by the ‘real Apple staff’ the pranksters throw their hands up and ‘quit’. “I QUIT. I’VE WORKED HERE THREE MONTHS AND THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW ME. MICROSOFT EVERYONE… MICROSOFT! WHO IS WITH ME?”

Well, let’s be honest. Microsoft doesn’t really expect that the video will help boost their sales, but hey, it’s fun anyway.
