Last year, Malaysian blogger Timothy Tiah proposed to his girlfriend Audrey Ooi, using flashboards and Internet memes, and the resulting Vimeo video went viral on the web.
“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest hailed the proposal as a heartwarming coda to 2011. Singer Christina Perri whose song “A thousand years” has been used as the backing track for the video, confessed that it made her cry.
Celebrity endorsements helped the creatively crafted clip rack up nearly 4 million views online within a week, turning Tiah and his Ooi into unexpected role models for numerous young romantics worldwide.
And now, eight months later, the happy couple has tied the knot and posted a slick, well edited albeit sugary sweet video that is also beginning to get thousands of eyeballs on the net. The couple looks gorgeous, and the video focuses on the couples vows, interspersed with shots of the venue and the bride posing for photographs.
And of course Tiah has a special surprise for Audrey, choosing to make his vows in Japanese (complete with translations help up on boards) because according to him “she loves all things Japanese”.
