The above Kerala Tourism video showcases the art work of child artist Edmund Thomas Clint who made over 25,000 paintings all before the age of 7. Clint sadly passed away in 1983 when he was only 7 due to due to a kidney failure. The video shows all his art work and it’s pretty amazing how this seven-year-old was able to draw animals such as Kangaroos, tigers, birds such as owls, cars, to name a few. The kind of work he drew was particularly complex and even for an adult it would take years to practise to perfect. According to a
Manorama profile of Clint, “in seven years, he had done about 10,000 paintings and drawings, and participated in 13 contests. At the 13th contest, he won against 8,000 child artists.” After his death his parents found more paintings and the number now stands at 25,000. Clint’s subsequent kidney trouble was result of that. He was an only child of an accounts clerk at the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Kochi. His parents have preserved all his art work and they formed the Clint Foundation to showcase his art
