US: Offended by mother's Facebook post, school expels 4-year-old

New York: A four-year-old  was expelled from his school in the US after his mother vent her frustration against the school in a Facebook post. Habat’s post read: “Why is it that every single day there is something new I dislike about Will’s school? AFP.[/caption] The next morning, she received a call asking her to meet the principal when she dropped off her son at Sonshine Christian Academy, a private religious school, in Florida. To her shock, the school decided to expel her son. This is what the letter of dismissal said: “Your relationship with Sonshine did not get off to a very good start the first day of school. You utilised social media to call into question not only the integrity but the intelligence of our staff. These actions are also consistent with sowing discord.” According to Habat, the post was private to her friends only. “They just felt like we were not the right fit of parent relationship with the school and that they did not want him as a student anymore. He had done nothing wrong,” Habat was quoted as saying in media reports. IANS
