Twist in tale: Bangalore cop's daughter told burkha clad woman to 'go back to Pakistan'

It seems former Bangalore Commissioner’s daughter Rachel Sangliana’s claim that she was attacked by two burkha clad women because of her northeastern roots may not really be true. According to a Times of India report , the CCTV footage found from the supermarket where Rachel was allegedly attacked tells a different story altogether. The supermarket employees told TOI that it was Rachel who slapped a burqa-clad woman after the woman’s trolley dashed her leg. According to the report, even after the woman apologised, Rachel yelled at her and said, “Go back either to Pakistan or Afghanistan.” [caption id=“attachment_1845287” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Image from Rachel’s Twitter account[/caption] In fact, what is surprising is that Rachel didn’t file a police complaint though she spoke about the ‘racial attack’ on Facebook. Former cop Sangliana told TOI they wouldn’t file a police complaint since it’s a “small incident”. Sangliana also called the CCTV footage ‘bogus.’ On Sunday, a ccording to a report in Bangalore Mirror ,  Rachel was allegedly assaulted and racially abused by two women at a supermarket in the city. The 34-year-old claimed that she was shopping in a supermarket when she objected to a couple trying to cut her off in the queue. The burkha-clad woman then reportedly started abusing Rachel in Urdu and then yelled at her saying she should “go back to China.” The woman then started hitting her while the people in the supermarket just stood and stared, reported the newspaper. Rachel reportedly called the police, but before they could arrive, another woman along with the first woman came and attacked Rachel. “They grabbed my hair and pulled out clumps of it, injuring my scalp,” she told Mirror.
