It really is the stuff of which soap operas are made.

Twin sisters, born in Korea, are separated at birth and adopted - one by an American family and the other by a French family. Twenty five years later, one of them, Samantha Futerman, goes on to become an actress and is seen on YouTube by Anaïs Bordier, a French student living in London. Bordier notices the striking resemblance between herself and Futerman.

Bordier reportedly visited Futerman’s personal blog after seeing the Youtube video and discovered they were born on the same day, in the same city.

After sending Futerman a Facebook message, the two realized they might be long lost twin sisters.

“When I looked at her photos I was completely blown away. It was looking at myself”, says Futerman.

The two have been using Twitter, Skype and Facebook messenger, and social media to catch up on the first 25 years of their lives.

A video on YouTube featuring the girls shows a recording of their first ever Skype conversation. “This is a pretty weird experience,” says Futerman while Bordier giggles. “So weird,” Bordier replies.

We agree.
