The “guess-who’s-coming-for-Comic-Con” line won’t suffice this this news. As we eagerly await the fourth series of Sherlock, show’s co-creator and executive producer is all set to take India by storm. In case you’re wondering who that is: Meet Mark Gatiss, better known as Mycroft Holmes.
All set to spend three days in Mumbai next month, Gatiss is already excited to be coming to India.
“Stage Two of World Domination complete! I’m thrilled to be coming to India, a country I’ve always wanted to visit, and I can’t wait to meet all the Doctor Who and Sherlock fans in Mumbai,” Gatiss was quoted as saying in a press release.
The release adds that he will also sign limited edition posters for his fans.
In the special session, Gatiss will discuss Doctor Who and Sherlock and a forthcoming special of Sherlock which will begin filming in 2015.
Jatin Varma, Founder of Comic Con India, said: “For me personally, its a true fan boy moment! We all have been great fans of his work and we can’t wait for him to reach Mumbai and meet all his Indian fans!”
Gatiss, an accomplished writer and actor is known for playing Tycho Nestoris on Game of Thrones and Gantok in Doctor Who. Playing Sherlock’s genius elder brother, Gatiss’ latest stint on TV has seen unprecedented success across the globe, with Series 3 in the UK billed as the most watched drama on British television in a decade. The show also won seven Emmys in 2014.
