Seven things especially 'Made for India'

Life becomes drastically simpler when things are custom-made for us. Imagine having things ready for you customized to your taste and preference! Yes, this has happened for us – Indians - more than once. Let’s take a look at everything Desi that is specially Indianized to suit our race.

1)Every time a bike races past us on the road, we skip a heartbeat, spit out a few cuss words and honk in panic. But, the truth is the two-wheeler guys are the ones that reach their desired venue on time. These scooters/scooties are the true road-genius for clogged Indian roads.

2)Who doesn’t enjoy a quick spin around or a long drive by the sea! To help make this a reality even for Indian families that can’t afford the high-end cars, some automobile brands have launched small, inexpensive four-wheelers for lower-middle class Indian families.

3)Most countries with local rail commuting won’t have announcements about ‘not hanging out of a moving train’ because the train compartments have functional doors that close while the train is moving. (Surprise!). The concept of open-door trains is very Indian and also aids in accommodating more passengers.

4)The Italians and the Chinese may just leave the planet if they are asked to cook ‘Chicken Tikka Pizza or Jain Manchurian Noodles’. How is that even Italian or Chinese! But, if you wish to sell international cuisine in India, it has to be Indianized as we like it.

5)India successfully sold the old dumbphones with in-built torch because a handy torch can be blissful in times when we are required to march through dim lighted or no light neighbourhoods. Who doesn’t remember the basic mobile handset with white torchlight that became famous in remote India?

6)By lunch, most of the office-goers already start feeling like 7 p.m. The least we expect is freshly cooked, warm, home-made lunch, brought to us straight from home, of course! Hence, introducing the popular Dabbawala system that works like magic in India, and is made especially for India.

7)In the world where you find out about child birth and sudden demises on FaceBook and execute national 5 year plans on Whatsapp, a Smartphone is more important than roti, kapda aur makaan. But, Smartphones come with sky-touching smart prices. That is why, LeEco’s Superphone ‘Le1s Eco, a made for India Ecophone’ is the newest favourite of phone-buyers. Live as you like with the
