A gourmet tour at Mohammad Ali Road  Mumbai is a melting pot of various cultures and ethnicities from all over India, and that translates beautifully into some delicious food. And the best place to get a taste of Mumbai is Mohammad Ali Road. The place has all the food you could ever want and more! Be it Kebabs, Biryani, Nalli Nihari, Shawarma or if you have sweet tooth then there’s Mawa jalebi, Phirni and Mal Pua. Okay, you can stop drooling now and grab your friends to get some of those sweet and savoury delights. Take a ride in the lifeline of the city The Mumbai local is probably the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind when they think of the city. We know it gets crazy crowded, but things are different over the weekend. People are off from work, and the usually crowded train turns into the best city tour vehicle. It doesn’t matter which suburb you are in; we recommend that you get on a local and go all the way to Churchgate station. And the reason can be seen in the video below.

This 25-metre long and 8-metre wide mural of Mahatma Gandhi at Churchgate Station was created by renowned Brazilian artist Eduardo Cobra for the non-profit, public and street art initiative St+art India foundation in association with Asian Paints. Colaba Causeway is a triple treat with its street shopping, places to eat and beautiful sights. You can get the latest fashion at throwaway prices or shop at high-end boutiques. If you are up for it, then you also catch a movie at Regal Cinema which is an experience on its own. Now, if you take a walk in the lane behind Regal Cinema, you will find yourself walking into the majestic sites of the Arabian Sea, Gateway of India and The Taj Palace Hotel. All of this walking can get quite tiring, so the best option is to head to one of the popular restaurants in Colaba Causeway like Bademiya, Baghdadi and Delhi Darbar for a scrumptious meal to get your energy up. If you didn’t take a picture, did it even happen? A happening weekend needs some happening pictures and selfies, and what’s better than the ‘Love Mumbai’ art installation at Bandra Reclamation? The ‘Love Mumbai’ art installation was made for the 2016 Kala Ghoda festival, and the people of Mumbai fell in love with the sign. The St+art India foundation, in association with Asian Paints, put in a request to BMC to give it a permanent place in Mumbai.

A sun and sand getaway    Aksa Beach is the cleanest and one of the most beautiful beaches in Mumbai. The beach has a huge stretch of natural sands which is perfectly safe for walking barefoot. There are quite a few good hotels close to the beach which make it a perfect weekend getaway destination within the city. Street art spectacle at Sassoon Docks    Built in 1875, Sassoon Docks is one of the oldest docks in Mumbai, and one of the few open to people. It was the first commercial wet dock in Mumbai which helped establish cotton trade in the city. After the decline of cotton trade, Sassoon Docks became home to the native Kolis and largely forgotten. In order to revive the historic heritage, St+art India foundation, in association with Asian Paints, gave a complete makeover to the home and lives of the Koli community at Sassoon Docks through the artworks of over 30 artists from around the world. A tour of the Film City  If you are looking forward to a great weekend and you happen to be a Bollywood buff, then a tour of the Film City is the perfect plan. The Film city is humongous with over forty outdoor locations including artificial lakes, mountains, temples and even a man-made waterfall! Some of the biggest films like Sholay, Taal, Munna Bhai MBBS, Rock On and more have been shot in the Film City.
