Jumping Jhapak: Twitter captions pictures from Xi's visit to India

China’s President Xi Jinping is on three day visit to India, the first big visit from a neighbouring nations for Narendra Modi since he became the Prime Minister. The Chinese President and his wife Peng Liyuan first landed in Ahmedabad where they were given a red-carpet welcome by the Indian Prime Minister. On the list of things-to-do for the Chinese President were a visit Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram and which was followed by a visit to the the Sabarmati Riverfront Park. The Sabarmati riverfront is one of Modi’s pet projects, who as Gujarat chief minister developed it on the line of the Thames river of London. Several international mega events like the kite festival, and Navratri festival were organised at the riverfront. And yes there was a lavish Gujarati dinner on the menu as well with over 150 dishes. Of course when two leading dignitaries of a state meet, the most fun bit are the photos and in the case of this meeting too the photos were the best thing.
