Jet Li is Jaitley, Obama is Sudama: Twitter mocks Hindu fanatics with funny #VHPNames

It all began when a parody page called ‘ Unofficial: Subramanian Swamy ’ on Facebook started mocking the alleged right-wing communal agenda of the Sangh Parivar by putting up parody pictures of popular Western personalities as Hindus in disguise.

From Michael Jackson’s true identity ‘revealed’ to be Mai Ka Lal Jaikishen to Mona Lisa actually being Monali Shah in ‘disguise’, the page gave us fits of laughter and became so popular that BJP leader Subramanian Swamy actually demanded that the page be deleted off Facebook.

In a hilarious response, however, Facebook accidentally deleted his real profile .

Perhaps one of the best things about social media is its ability to retaliate to injustice and misguided propaganda in some of the most hilarious ways you can imagine.

Now that right groups like the VHP are calling for ‘ghar wapsi’ while BJP MP Sadhvi Prachi is busy telling people to boycott the three Khans of Bollywood because they promote ’love jihad’, the Twitterati took inspiration from the Facebook page and began posting parody names with #VHPNames.
