There are artists who cannot be dictated, those who hustle and have a story to tell. These are the artists who are born and bred in the gullies of India. They have risen from the streets, their art is inspired by these streets, they are contemporary but rooted, they witness art that is raw and real and they have opinions and messages to share. Witness these artists come together to collaborate in the form of a first-ever explosive artistic experience, the likes of which India has never seen before! Suede Gully is a tribute to India’s extremely talented and diverse street artists and together they have come to form one of the largest creative collectives in the country. Suede Gully brings to the audience the true essence of street art; these are the streets that gave birth to these unabashed and fierce souls that are not afraid to express. Featuring 58 artists (street artists, dancers and rappers) including Divine, Mukti Mohan and Shilo Shiv Suleiman, Suede Gully is India’s largest street art collaboration. It’s a collaboration that revolves around street artists who will share their experiences through various forms of authentic and unadulterated art and story-telling. This music video is something you’ve probably never seen produced in India. As a portrayal of the culture of our streets, this video has been shot in locations that represent the Indian street in the most authentic and iconic way. Suede Gully has been created to be a powerful, massive stage, eager to be graced by the artist made from the hustle and destined for great things. The street anthem of Suede Gully is composed by Sneha Khanwalkar, featuring 4 different languages, choreographed by 4 dance crews against dramatic backgrounds of 4 cities across India, taken over by 7 extremely talented street artists and directed by Sasha Rainbow, will launch on 5th November. Here’s a glimpse of the revolution you’re about to experience!
