Some of us may have had a particularly bad experience at a barbershop, where we’ve left with a small cut or graze. Image taken from Facebook[/caption] But businessman Nitin Kagzi got a nasty shock when he went to an upmarket salon in Mumbai and, instead of a haircut, suffered a grave injury to his ear. A senior hairstylist from the Mumbai salon allegedly cut off a part of Kagzi’s ear accidentally while giving him a haircut, reported NDTV. The incident took place at around 1.30 pm on Sunday when in the middle of his hair-cutting session, Kagzi suddenly felt a sting on his ear. Kagzi alleged that the staff at the salon had simply put a bandage on his ear and the stylist who made the mistake didn’t tell him about the huge gaffe. The report further said that the surgery which Kagzi had to undergo due to the injury cost him around Rs 10,000. His yearly package at the salon was worth Rs 25,000. Kagzi also posted about the incident on Facebook, with a picture showing the ear injury.

The salon management, however, issued a statement after the incident. “We deeply regret the unfortunate accident sustained by our long-standing client, Mr. Nitin Kagzi during his haircut at our Palladium salon yesterday. Jean Claude Biguine salons values customer relationships at the core of its DNA. We have taken immediate action against the concerned stylist and we express our deepest apology to Mr Kagzi for his injury and wish him a speedy recovery. To us, customer safety remains paramount and we are fully committed to upholding this standard,” said the statement, according to Huffington Post.
