If you ask a gamer to choose between access to all the video games in the world and a social and professional life, one thing is for sure: Irrespective of the answer, the gamer will actually think for a while before making a decision. [caption id=“attachment_2557250” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Fallout 4 can be very addictive.[/caption] Addiction is one of the most common, enjoyable and dangerous association with gaming. Bethesda Softworks, a video game publisher, had once taken the world by storm when they had released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2011. And now, with Fallout 4 released this year, the craziness over the game has reached a new level. A 28-year-old man from Krasnoyarsk in Russia has sued Bethesda, claiming that he had not been warned that Fallout 4 would so addictive that he would lose his wife and job due to his addiction to the game, reported
Russia Today. The man regularly skipped work and eventually got fired. He even stopped meeting his friends. His social life became so poor that even his wife came to the conclusion that he loved Fallout 4 more than her and left him. “If I knew that this game could have become so addictive, I would have become a lot more wary of it. I would not have bought it, or I would have left it until I was on holiday or until the New Year holidays,” RT quoted the man as saying. Although we do feel that maybe the man would have been better off avoiding the game altogether, because even the New Year holidays wouldn’t have been enough to get rid of Fallout 4 addiction.
