In a heartbreaking tragedy, a dog and his owner were mowed down by a train in Delhi.
According to the Times of India
, 19-year-old Ankit died in a futile attempt to save his dog from being crushed under a train. Ankit risked his own life while desperately trying to get his black labrador back to safety after he strayed onto the train tracks. According to the report, Ankit was seriously injured and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. The Times of India report quoted the boy’s father, Ran Singh, as saying, “Our boy has passed away .What’s the use of reporting the incident now? Railways have put no overbridge or boundary wall to stop people from crossing tracks.” This is not the first time a pet owner has risked his life to save man’s best friend.
