When it rains in India (read Mumbai), we shut ourselves in our homes. We read that book we’ve been trying to read for ages, hope someone makes tea, listen to some music that goes well with those raindrops on your window. We don’t indulge in shenanigans like going out, we’d be mad to do that! There’s a flood waiting outside! [caption id=“attachment_2495316” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Tamara Barker kayaked through a flood to get cheeseburgers. It’s called love. Image Courtesy: Twitter/ @rkeyserling[/caption] But then there are some who aren’t like us. Heroes, who defy odds and floods and even make tea for themselves. Eighteen year old Tamara Barker from South Australia is one such hero. To cut to the chase, Tamara kayaked to a nearby McDonald’s during a flood and got her cheeseburgers. According to
a report in Mashable, Tamara, a resident of Port Lincoln, jumped into her friend’s kayak and paddled her way to McDonald’s drive-thru and got herself some cheeseburgers she was craving for. “It was definitely worth getting the kayak. I had so much fun, I paddled about 20 metres down the drive-thru and I was paddling in the car park as well. The flood level was above my knee and did minor water damage to some local business but it wasn’t too bad,” the report quoted her as saying. We hope you enjoyed those cheeseburgers Tamara. You’ve earned it.
