Cannes Lions 2014: 14 Indian entries make it to Cyber, Design, Radio shortlists

[caption id=“attachment_1572659” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  The festival is on till June 21, 2014[/caption] Cannes Lions 2014 has announced its shortlists for the Cyber, Design, Product Design and Radio categories. While no Indian entries have been shortlisted for the inaugural Product Design category, a total of 14 entries have made the mark across the other three categories. A category-wise detailed list of the entries is below: Cyber shortlist India has six shortlists in the Cyber category, and had no shortlists in the last two years. This year, JWT leads the list with three entries. The agency’s ‘Make Every Yard Count’ campaign for Nike Cricket has been shortlisted thrice under ‘Clothing, Footwear and Accessories’, ‘Use of Co-Creation/UGC’ and ‘Use of Curation of Images’.   Ogilvy India comes in next with two shortlists; the agency’s ‘Google Search Reunion’ campaign for Google India has been shortlisted for ‘Storytelling’. View it below:

  Ogilvy’s other entry that made it to the shortlist is ‘Message Barter’ for Akanksha Foundation under ‘Charities’.

  The sixth shortlist is for ‘Use of Co-Creation /UGC’ for 22 Feet Tribal WW’s ‘Push the Pin’ campaign for Tata Global Beverages.

  Design shortlist The number of shortlists for India are seeing a significant dip this year, with only five entries making the cut in Design. Last year, Indian agencies had a whopping 19 shortlists and eight shortlists in 2012. Of the five Indian shortlists McCann Worldgroup leads the list with three. The agency’s three entries for Big Babol, ‘Tangerine’, ‘Mango’ and ‘Pear’, have been shortlisted under the ‘Print & Poster’ category.   The fifth shortlist is under ‘Broadcast and Animation’ and is for BBH India’s ‘Vote for Child Rights’ campaign for CRY India. View the campaign below:  

  Radio shortlist India has three shortlists under Radio this year, as opposed to none last year. JWT India’s campaign ‘Police Station’ for the Mukti Foundation has been shortlisted under ‘Public Awareness Messages’. McCann Worldgroup’s ‘The Finder’ for travel portal Yatra.com has a shortlist under ‘Travel, Transport and Tourism’. The third and final shortlist was under ‘Public Awareness Messages’ as well, and is for Ogilvy India’s ‘Train’ campaign for the Mumbai Police.
