Smoothies are a great way to start the day, especially when you’re rushing to get out of the door and need a super quick breakfast on the run. It is also great way to disguise fruits into these drinks for kids too. My favourite for the season, the mango lassi sprinkled with pistachios, wins hands down. Check for sweetness. 3) Pour the lassi over some ice cubes in a glass. Top with the pistachios. Drink up! You could make the smoothie either yoghurt based, like the lassi above, or milk based. Here are some delicious fruit pairings: 1) Banana-watermelon 2) Banana-papaya 3) Peach-cherry 4) Muskmelon 5) Orange-papaya Shaheen writes about her quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie and baking escapades on The Purple Foodie
